Biography
Sabrina is Creative Director and Partner at JOI-Design. She graduated in 2004 with a degree in interior architecture from the University of Applied Sciences in Rosenheim. During her studies, she gained initial professional experience as a working student with Hadi Teherani at BRT Architekten, which she further developed in 2005 as an interior architect at Matteo Thun & Partners in Milan.
In 2007, she joined GMP Architekten in Hamburg before moving to JOI-Design a year later as a Senior Designer. She became an Associate in 2012 and has been a Partner since 2018, where she is, among other roles, responsible for the Office Design department. Since 2024, she has been part of JOI-Design’s leadership team together with Barbara and Thomas.
Thomas Scholz
Director of Finance & Partner
Biography
Thomas is a partner at JOI-Design and is responsible for the company’s Finance department. After successfully completing his apprenticeship as a carpenter, he studied interior architecture at HAWK University of Applied Sciences in Hildesheim. He graduated in 2004 in Hildesheim and began working at JOI-Design the same year.
He became a Project Manager one year later and has held procuration since 2015. Since then, Thomas Scholz has been overseeing all financial matters of the company in a holistic manner. He has been a Partner and shareholder of
JOI-Design since 2018.
Since 2024, he has been leading the company into its next generation together with Sabrina and Barbara.

Biography
Peter Joehnk is the co-founder of JOI-Design, which he established and shaped together with his wife Corinna Kretschmar-Joehnk. With over forty years of experience, the experienced interior architect and building biologist has made a significant contribution to shaping contemporary hospitality design, developing distinctive concepts for hotels, restaurants, serviced apartments and cruise ships.
Today, he supports JOI-Design as a Senior Advisor, contributing his expertise to the continued development of the studio.
