Capri by Fraser, Berlin

A stunning Capri by Fraser has been integrated with a museum and church as part of a new, one-of-a-kind destination on Berlin’s Spreeinsel Island. JOI-Design’s concept for the long-stay apartment hotel honours the archeological discoveries unearthed on the site though interiors that illustrate “layers of history”.

The light-filled, creatively designed lobby greets visitors with a tempered glass floor that reveals the fascinating excavations below. Overhead, a shimmering gold, wall-to-wall installation features hexagon-shaped mosaics and perforations that frame a black and white etching of the Spree River’s island and its ancient structures.

References to this unique landmark’s history continue throughout the property, complemented by playful splashes of colour, comforting textures and contemporary décor.
