About the project: The Moxy Hamburg, located directly at the Berliner Tor transportation hub and not far from the main train station and city centre, stands out from other local hotels thanks to its strong, colourful and inspired interiors.

Moxy hotels enjoy a thriving reputation for their unique atmospheres – especially lobbies exuding special vibes without relying on overt branding. In the Hamburg property, this beautiful yet simple soft pink wooden chair subtly hints at the brand’s colour palette.
DCW éditions, Lamp Gras Nr. 303 (FR)
Works created by regional artists figure prominently in the design concept – and they are also provide details noticed upon second glance, the discoveries that make your heart beat faster. Here, they are staged with special wall lights that add an ‘art studio’ flair.
Vitra, Standard Chair (GER)
The furniture collection springs to life when design classics occasionally join the mix - again these are small discoveries noticed upon second glance. Jean Prouvé came up with this very special model in 1934; now, it’s a legend in the history of furniture.
Matodi, Concrete stool with rope (GER)
Our interiors concept whets the appetite for a tour through Hamburg – all curated by JOI-Design. We start on Elbe Beach just around the corner from the hotel; these stools reminded us of bollards where ships are moored along the shoreline

At the back of the lobby, the tour leads guests to the Alster Lake area where we integrated co-working spaces. Guests’ focus is perfectly supported here by this shapely pendant luminaire in a casual industrial style.
redbubble, Deko cushion (GER)
A smile-inducing bed cushion greets travellers as soon as they enter their room. It’s now become a signature hallmark in all Moxy Hotels and emphasises the invitation to be your real self in this hotel.

We also thought about families: larger groups can stay in the same room if necessary. This cool sofa not only invites you to sit – it also easily folds out into a comfortable bed.
