Marriott Frankfurt Airport Hotel
Our inspiration for the 233 newly designed guest rooms at the Marriott Frankfurt Airport Hotel was Frankfurt's prominence in the book industry. From the place where Johannes Gutenberg invented printing in the 15th century, to the city's prominence as the centre of the global publishing world during the annual Frankfurt Book Fair. In a nod to the hotel's location at the airport, quotes from books about travel are found in art installations and design details such as the guestroom wall panelling. The pleasant mix of soothing shades of greige, beige and grey and cosy materials and furniture invite guests to enjoy a tranquil stay and immerse the guest room in a comfortable atmosphere.
What was the basic idea behind the guest room concept?
Annette Hartmann says: "With the guest room concept, my goal was to create an intimate and atmospheric space with a quality of stay in which guests can forget the stress of everyday life and the airport. The soothing warm and rather darker tones in the colour and furniture selection have created a very private retreat."
