Marriott Frankfurt Airport - Products curated by JOI-Design
About the project: Our inspiration for the design was rooted in Frankfurt‘s book industry, from the birthplace of the printing press invented by Johannes Gutenberg in the 15th century to the city's fame as the heart of the global publishing community during the annual Frankfurt Book Fair. For example, art installations and design details include features such as guest room wall panelling with quotes from travel books.
KAISHI Lighting S.LC, Makeup Pendant, custom colour (ES)
Decorative pendants put the wall cladding in a special light. Spotlights with an industrial minimalist style make an urban statement.
Frandsen Project, 'Stand' lamp (DK)
Another illumination highlight is right by the bed and is perfectly suited for those wishing to read a chapter or two in the evening.
Art Consult, custom art (D)
Reminiscent of magazine holders, these installations are skilfully staged in coordination with the wallcovering to decorate the guest room.
Schönbuch, 'X-Y' wall hook (D)
True to their name, different letter variants can be found across the guest rooms. Not only do the wall hooks look good, they also are also functional.
Firm Living, 'Poise Oval Mirror' (DK)
An oval shape and a very special hook make for an eye-catching bathroom mirror. Its colour and minimalist character fits right in with the other design accessories.
&tradition, 'Palette' table (DK)
The oval shape also appears in each suite’s living area. This desk from &tradition not only provides a place to browse online or write your masterpiece, it also impresses with its clean style.
Weitzner via Altfield, 'Fit to Print' wallcovering (GB)
The wallcovering reinforces the interior design premise by inviting guests to closely inspect its unusual creative motifs. Here, stacks of printed black-and-white newspaper and books pages seem to clad the walls.
