Olympus Campus Hamburg, Part 4 - Products curated by JOI-Design
About the project: Olympus' new European headquarters in Hamburg has many facets: it was important to our client to offer employees a wide and varied range of work opportunities. A driver of the innovative approach was that non-territorial and activity-based work no longer needs to be tied to a fixed workspace, which in turn strengthens communication and interaction between team members. In the following, we present a few 'slightly different workspaces' from the project:
Exercise bike Citta BT 5.0 with storage table; Johnson Health, Horizon Fitness (Germany)
We always talk about 'work-life balance': here, this is possible because you can integrate your daily workout on the exercise bike with a folding storage table with video conferencing capabilities.
Hammock chair 'Leya', Freifrau (Germany)
Would you like to let your mind wander for a moment between meetings? This, too, is possible: sometimes, the best ideas come to you while gently swinging a comfortable hanging chair!
Floor lamp 'North 5600', Vibia (Spain)
Work here takes place in so-called 'neighbourhoods' – spaces with ergonomic tables and chairs that also feature lounge corners where you can retreat for a short time, whether alone or in a group. The special oversized floor lamp not only creates atmosphere, it is also a room divider.
Stool 'Drop' & height-adjustable table 'Bond', COR (Germany)
‘Flexibility’ is the magic word: in order to freely interact with colleagues, these rolling seats perfectly align with matching laptop tables.
Height-adjustable stool 'Rockie Hight', Vitra (Germany)
Sitting higher promotes concentration: these stools offer special comfort with comfortable backrests and rails for perching your feet – plus their wheels make them super flexible!
Rocking chair 'Mbrace', Dedon (Germany)
What about 'letting your mind wander'? Yes, that's also possible in the 'Japanese Corner' – a break-out zone that alludes to the company's roots. Originally planned as outdoor furniture, the rocking chairs also cut a fine figure indoors and support the feeling of taking a breather.
Bar stool 'Morph' and high table 'Cena high', period (Germany)
It’s been proven that a pleasing ambience encourages you to work in more inspired ways: these beautiful barstools with corresponding wooden tables are not only a refreshingly natural feast for the eyes, they are beautiful to touch.
