Radisson Blu Hotel Frankfurt – Products curated by JOI-Design
About the project: this building in downtown Frankfurt, already visually striking from the outside due to its rounded shape, was given a peronalised touch thanks to new concepts for two select suites. The intention was to consciously breathe greater privacy and individualisation through new design approaches that completely set the two suites apart from the hotel’s other guest rooms.
Pendant lamp 'Cirque' by Louis Poulsen (DK)
The shape and colour of the two pendant lamps bring in a sculptural approach that makes them look like works of art when viewed alongside framed images on the picture rail, creating a feel reminiscent of a private apartment.
System R3, Berker (Germany)
This switch range exudes a special levity for us. Due to the circular shape of the rocker switches, the collection eliminates the austerity of an otherwise purely technical component in the room so that it fits perfectly with our concept’s light and slightly playful ambience.
'Lightline' lamp by Brokis (Czech Republic)
This lamp immediately puts smiles on our faces. Transparent and elegant yet voluminous, it is an important accent piece that immediately catches the eye.
'AJ floor lamp' by Louis Poulsen (Denmark)
A design classic named after its creator, Arne Jacobsen, this lamp impresses with an unpretentious appearance that still has a presence within the room. We were looking for a quiet accent that would harmonise with our concept’s slightly Scandinavian feel and found the perfect answer here.
'Palette JH7' table by &Tradition (Denmark)
This piece is an all-rounder: a coffee and a side table in one that also acts like a small room divider. We were taken with the interplay of its rounded plateaus of different heights, as well as its graceful base - making the table a favourite highlight in the second suite.
'Muffins Mini Wood 06' table lamp by Brokis (Czech Republic)
Whilst the first suite feels somewhat feminine, the second has a more aura. Nonetheless, it also needed warm illumination, and our choice was this eye-catching accent light. Again, transparent and elegant – yet deliberately a bit serious with its dark timber base.
'MEM' faucet from Dornbracht (Germany)
Naturally, we also love small, refined highlights in bathrooms that make the heart beat faster. Our vision was to radiate elegance as well as a certain architectural clarity through the fittings. This beautiful faucet embodies both!
