Stay Koook Bern - Products curated by JOI-Design
About the project: Rather special long-stay apartments that create a different way of living for international guests: this concept is rooted in the idea of creating a neighbourhood community. People meet in the shared courtyard or kitchen to exchange ideas, cook together, talk and work. In addition, the private retreats have a natural, easy-going cosiness with lots of flexibility thank to a sliding wall—"The Slide"—that divides areas within the apartment according to guests‘ moods. The room becomes a chameleon that adapts to its users‘ needs.
Armchair ‚Freistil 173‘, Rolf Benz (Germany)
The small and compact, yet charmingly rounded shape immediately won us over: this armchair is an all-rounder tha fits perfectly everywhere and creates a good vibe.
Pendant Lamp ,Signature 28' PILKE (Finland)
A lamp made from light birch wood: underscoring this project’s emphasis on natural materials, it’s really eye-catching when it casts an inspiring play of light on the wall.
Chair ‚650‘, Rolf Benz (Germany)
This timber chair and table ensemble reflects our attitude towards life, a peronal concept we wanted to express within these four walls: a modern shell with a natural core.
Billiards ,Tenero 11', Andy´s Billard GmbH (Switzerland)
Finally, a billiard table that stands out from conventional versions while also perfectly fitting the ambience we wanted to create: we love the light wood tone and the grey baize surface!
Pendant Lights ,Perch Light Branch’, Mooooi (Netherlands)
These luminaires simply embody fun and joie de vivre! The lengthy procession of birds defines the space underneath them—in this case the long kitchen table—while bringing a certain rhythm and calm to the atmosphere.
Chair ,FOX 3725’ Pedrali s.p.a (Italy)
An elegantly curved chair that is also comfortable! We mixed two versions to create a small frisson that softens the strict succession of seats.
Wheelbarrow Armchair, CARVIDO – Gebr. Kaiser GmbH (Germany)
This 'piece of furniture' doesn't take itself too seriously: in keeping with the courtyard’s small 'Garden Corner', you can sit for a spell in this converted and upholstered wheelbarrow, yet at the same time "see and be seen" in the middle of the lobby.
