JOI-Design was commissioned by WOHNIDEE – the German lifestyle interiors journal from Bauer publishing house – to develop two unique signature suites within Radisson Blu in Frankfurt, Germany, which made guests feel at home.
The “Modern Serenity” suite is awash with calm and welcoming pastel blues and antique pinks. Furnishings and design elements are a quirkily curated mix of high-value and creative items, which work with the unexpected material combinations to enliven the space and present a cosily residential yet highly imaginative space.
In contrast, the “Classic Monochrome” suite has a dark, rich palette of greys, blacks and browns. Leather, dark wood and textured fabrics pervade, creating a sophisticated retreat for guest to unwind in with a good book and a glass of wine.
Although decidedly different in decor, both suites provide comfortable and luxurious spaces for guests to relax in and enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city of Frankfurt.
For the second time, the magazine Wohnidee joined forces with the hotel brand Radisson Blu to raise the bar in hospitality by bringing design trends to life. Following their highly successful 2016 partnership for the Radisson Blu Cologne, Wohnidee and JOI-Design created two trend suites for the Radisson Blu Frankfurt. As different as the “Classic Monochrome” and “Modern Serenity” suites might be from each other, there is one aspect they have in common: the guest feels at home.
Both the exterior and interior of the Radisson Blu in Frankfurt exemplify high-class, thought-provoking design, which makes it the ideal platform for such inspirational living environments. Feeling at home is something beautiful, and I am happy our two concept suites can provide this emotional connection. The realisation of the spa-like bathrooms has also been quite successful and creates a true sense of wellbeing for guests.
